Curriculum Snapshot


​​Theme-driven lessons combine Zoo-Phonics letter work, one-to-one counting and number sense, science explorations, motor skill practice, and social-emotional learning through cooperative play.


  • Early Literacy — Zoo-Phonics for letter/sound recognition; storytelling; vocabulary development.
  • Early Numeracy — Number recognition; counting with one-to-one correspondence; simple patterning and sorting.
  • Science & Discovery — Simple experiments, observation journals, weather and life-cycle studies.
  • Motor Development — Fine-motor practice (cutting, drawing, buttoning); gross-motor play (obstacle courses, balance, movement games).
  • Social-Emotional Skills — Sharing, turn-taking, friendship skills, self-regulation, and classroom routines.
  • Self-Help & Independence — Zipping, putting on coats, bathroom and snack routines.
  • Creative Expression & The Arts — Art projects, music, dramatic play, and movement tied to weekly themes.
  • Play Centers & Materials — Dramatic play, blocks/building, sensory tables, puzzles, and manipulatives that extend themed learning.
  • Seasonal & Holiday Activities — Special projects and events that connect curriculum to the community calendar.

Leaping Lizards

​​Tuesdays and Thursdays: 9am to 12 pm

This class is for children who are 3 years old or will be 3 by September 1st.

 

Learning approach and classroom experience:

The child-to-adult ratio is 1 to 5 with a maximum of 10 students, allowing our certified teachers to meet each child’s needs through guided cooperative play, circle-time routines, and simple classroom tasks that build confidence, curiosity, and readiness for the next step in school.
