Mrs. Lambert is from Hamburg, PA. She went to Kuztown University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree is Criminal Justice. She began working as a Case Manager at Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Berks County. After deciding that she wanted to teach children, she went back to Kutztown University and was certified in Elementary Education.
Mrs. Lambert is married and has two children. Her family moved to Arizona in 2004, and they moved back to Pennsylvania this summer. While in Arizona, she ran her own preschool, Smart Monkeys Preschool for six years and volunteered weekly in her children's classrooms.
Mrs. Lambert enjoys going to the beach, spending time with family and friends, and taking trips. She and her family love to go to travel to soccer stadiums in other states to see the Philadelphia Union play each season.
Mrs. Braxton is originally from Germany, but currently lives in Carlisle with her husband and 3 children., ages 7, 11, and 13. She loves to spend time with her children, husband, and to travel.
Before coming to CCNS, she worked in a Pre-Kindergarten program, a church program, and as a Sunday school teacher. She currently is going to Harrisburg Area Community College to earn her degree in Early Childhood Education.
Mrs. Braxton loves to work with children because as an adult, she learns so much from them. She also loves to see how happy they are when they learn and understand new things.

Mrs. Tompkins lives in Carlisle with her husband, daughter, and dog. She likes to read, run, and spend time with her family. She also enjoys doing crafts and is always working on a DIY project. She is looking forward to bringing this creativity into the classroom.
Mrs. Tompkins discovered how much she enjoys teaching and working with young children through her most important job as a mother, and she is excited to be beginning her early childhood career by joining Carlisle Community Nursery School this year.

CCNS is a licensed preschool by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. One of the licensing requirements requires all our lead teachers to have Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education and hold a Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate.
On teaching preschool: I absolutely love working with preschoolers! There is nothing more rewarding than seeing their eyes light up when they learn something new or realize they can do something they couldn't before. Their energy and laughter is contagious and it makes working with them fun every day!
