Zany Zebras

This class is for children who are 4 to 5 years old or will be 4 years old by September 1st. 

The child to adult ratio is 1 to 7 with a max of 14 students in the class. This allows our certified teachers to meet the needs of our students. ​

Curriculum Overview

• Zoo Phonics - letter & sound recognition

​• Math - numbers, number sense, counting, identifying 1-20, subitizing, sorting, one-to-one correlations, patterns, colors & shapes

• Name recoginition - first & last name spelling & writing

• Weekly themes: Fire safety, Animals, Winter, Seasons, Community Helpers and many more

• Socialization - sharing, responsibility, friends, manners 
• Science - experiments, observations, five senses, weather, life cycles, plants, insects
• Seasonal activities, holidays 
• Literature - story telling, authors, illustrators, parts of the book, rhyming
• Social Studies - communities, families, geography, field trips
• Health/Nutrition - foods, our bodies, dental care 
• Creative expression - finger play, music, art 
• Play Centers - dramatic, building, imagination
